Ball joins the Genesis Team with a vast knowledge of professional sports fields, NCAA fields/facilities, contractors, and municipalities, as well as a highly decorated Minor League Baseball career as a Certified Sports Turf Manager.
Previously, with the Ewing Sports Field Team and Profile Products/Turface Athletics, Ball was involved in projects with customers on field renovations, new construction, daily maintenance, and stadium beautification, including the design and installation of wall padding, windscreen, and safety netting. Based on his experience in the sports turf industry, he also served as an additional resource for customers dealing with turfgrass-related issues.
Chris spent 20 seasons in professional baseball with teams like the Harrisburg Senators, Myrtle Beach Pelicans, and Gwinnett Braves, where he earned multiple national honors including five straight Carolina League Field of the Year awards and recognition as both International League and STMA Triple-A Sports Turf Manager of the Year.
Today, Chris shares his expertise as the Little League Softball World Series field manager and as a Certified Sports Field Manager active on state and national SFMA boards.
