Chesapeake Bay Golf Club is actively seeking a Full Time Golf Course Superintendent. The position is perfect for any experienced Superintendent as well as for an Assistant ready to become a Head Superintendent. The Job will be maintaining push up-poa annua greens over seeded with 007 bent, Rye / Bent fairways and tees – and to conduct everyday tasks to include but are not limited to: Daily Scouting, course setup, water management (measure and maintain proper moisture levels in playing surfaces), pest & disease identification, chemical and fertilizer calibration/applications. Train, schedule and oversee employees, maintain clubhouse grounds.
The Club has a great staff that includes a very talented and experienced mechanic and has retained a local Agronomist to consult the Superintendent.
Chesapeake Bay Golf Club is semi-private and is a very popular club known for excellent playing conditions. Just recently celebrated 58 years and is an 18 Hole Championship golf course. In 2026 the Course will be hosting the USGA Men’s Amateur Qualifier, USGA Womens Four Ball Qualifier, The MSGA Sr Four Ball, the GAP Sr Four Ball and the LPGA Amateur Regional Qualifier.
Located in Cecil County, Maryland– at the Top of the Chesapeake Bay – we are 2 miles off I-95 located conveniently near borders of PA, DE, NJ (20 minutes from Oxford PA and Middletown DE, 30 minutes from Wilmington DE and South NJ and 50 minutes from city of Philadelphia, Baltimore and Lancaster, PA).
The club recently installed a completely new Rain Bird (2- wire- IC System) irrigation system, a new maintenance storage building and purchased new equipment. Autonomous mowers will be arriving in the Spring. The club has completed green complex full renovation to 12 holes that included total bunker reshaping creating grass face bunkers built with new drainage and VFB White Premium bunker sand, added 25 new bent tee boxes and added new fairway drainage throughout property. Currently expanding the Driving Range. Future construction will complete the last 6 holes with full renovation, new short game area and 12 new tee complexes.
Educational Requirements
Turfgrass Management certificate
Experience Requirements
At Least 2 years of turf grass management experience as an assistant superintendent.
Experience with Mid-Atlantic climate and grasses
Working knowledge of turf grass maintenance equipment
Knowledge of programming irrigation and of repairing irrigation breaks.
Experienced applying Chemical and fertilizers
Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
Experience supervising others and leading a team, scheduling assignments, and operating equipment
Special Requirements Must Have or be able to obtain MD pesticide license and professional fertilizer applicator permit.
Ability to keep detailed records of daily work, irrigation and pesticide applications and fertilizer applications.
Applicants must be highly organized
Must be an effective communicator with management and golf staff, speaking Spanish is not required but be helpful to communicate with our grounds crew.
I would prefer someone from the PA, DE, MD, NJ, VA region and be willing to live no more than 25-40 minutes from property.

Salary
