We are seeking a passionate Superintendent with expertise in agronomy, leadership, and environmental stewardship. Your job will be to ensure our course remains in top condition for players. This is a full-time, year-round position. Salary is based on experience with a range of $55,000 – $75,000 .
Educational Requirements
Associates Degree in Turf Management or similar is preferred.
Assistant Superintendents are encouraged to apply.
Experience Requirements
Knowledge of budgeting and expense management
3-5 years turf grass management experience required
Supervisory, coaching and staff development experience required
Experience in producing excellent playing conditions
A two-year college degree is preferred but not required
GCSAA Member preferred but not required
Spray Tech Certified and Irrigation Knowledge
Knowledge of local, federal, and state laws and regulations affecting management of golf course operations.
Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business
Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail
Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Must have basic computer skills

About Towanda Golf Club
Nestled in the rolling hills of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Towanda Golf Course was built in 1925. The golf course is an 18-hole course that is about 6000 yards in length. It is a par 71 course and is open to the public. In 2021, the Towanda Golf Club came under new ownership. The ownership team is committed to the long-term future of Towanda Golf Club and continued course improvements.
