Lawncrew Foreman – Allentown
Job Description: The Lawncrew Foreman is responsible for supervising a seasonal lawn care crew and ensuring that edging/mulching, lawn cutting, shrub trimming and grounds maintenance are completed in accordance with contract specifications and in accordance with policies and procedures. Looking for candidates with at least 2 years crew leader experience.
Job Requirements:
Essential Functions
- Supervise seasonal lawn care crew
- Operating push, walk behind and riding mowers in a safe fashion
- Use of edging machine to outline turf areas
- Safe operation of gas powered string trimmer
- Trim shrubbery using hand operated saw and manual cutters
- Clean work area using a broom or forced air blower
- Use of a rake and/or blower to collect leaves into piles
- Snow removal and hand shoveling
- Hires and supervises seasonal staff in accordance with company procedures
- Completes required paperwork and submits to the corporate office or customer on a timely basis
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma, or equivalent degree
- Basic lawn care knowledge
- Ability to safely operate power equipment
- Ability to safely operate transportation of trailer
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending and reaching
- Ability to lift at least 35 pounds several times per day
- Working on a ladder at heights ranging from 2’ to 15’
Compensation: $20-23/hour (based on experience)
