State Parks - Bear Creek Lake State Park

Hiring Range: $40,000 - $56,000

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation is the state’s lead conservation agency. We manage 43 Virginia State Parks with over 8 million visitors annually. As a Park Ranger-Maintenance, you will be responsible for supervising maintenance operations to ensure facilities and grounds are safe and meet current standards.

The incumbent will:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to facilities and grounds.
  • Supervise and assign tasks to hourly employees and volunteers.
  • Assist with fee collection, public relations, and visitor education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead and train others.
  • Experience providing customer service in public settings.
  • Experience in grounds maintenance and basic construction trades.
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license.
