Crofton Country Club in Crofton, MD seeks Assistant Superintendent

Crofton Country Club is a private club located in the suburbs of Crofton, about a 30 minute drive from both Washington DC and Baltimore. Although built in 1964 CCC remains a challenging, yet fun course for all skill levels.
CCC is in the process of completing a re-grassing of the fairways from the current cool season mix of Bent/Rye/Poa to Zeon Zoysia. We have completed 8/14 fairways and all the approaches from about 30-40 yards from the green have been re-grassed to Zeon, including all par 3s. We are scheduled to re-sod 2 more fairways this June
Greens: Pushup Bentgrass/Poa mix
Tees: Meyer/Zeon Zoysia
Fairways: The front 9 and #18 fairways are Zeon Zoysia, the rest are a mix of Bent/Rye/Poa/Common Bermuda
Rough: Tall Fescue/Rye/Poa mix
The Assistant will report directly to the Superintendent to help plan spray/fertilizer application, water management schedules, and daily maintenance duties, irrigation repairs
The goal everyday is to be out the door and on our way home by 4pm everyday. We strive to have a healthy work/life balance here at Crofton CC

Job Requirements
Experience Requirements
1-2 years experience in turf related field
Educational Requirements
2-4 year degree in turf or other related fields is preferred. Other qualified candidates will be considered.
Special Requirements
Must obtain a Maryland Pesticide Applications license with 90 days
Salary Range
$65,000 – $75,000 per year
